Meet the Psychotherapist

Isabel Squirrell is a UKCP registered Integrative Child Psychotherapist working with a wide range of children, adolescents and their parents in schools and her North London private practice.

Isabel started her career supporting children with additional needs in schools and developed a passion to find ways to truly meet children who are struggling.

“It was here that I realised the power of play and the arts to build a therapeutic relationship (I have a little mouse puppet to thank for this!) My experiences with these children inspired me to train as a child and adolescent psychotherapist.”

Isabel received an MA (distinction) in Integrative Child Psychotherapy from the Institute for Arts in Therapy & Education (University of East London). Her practice uses psychoanalysis, attachment theory, the latest neuroscience and infant observation techniques. In other words, she provides talking therapy and offers the arts as another way to communicate.

“Parents are the experts on their children and I hugely value working together. Our goal is to understand the child or young person and to support you in your parenting.” - Isabel
